Chesapeake Bay Foundation Building
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation requires space for offices, educational facilities, and large adaptable event space to raise awareness about their cause on the Bay. To express the Foundation’s sensitivity to the site, a large steel cage is placed atop four spanning concrete walls, minimizing the building’s footprint. The structural shell is skinned with a perforated facade to shade the glass enclosure beneath yet still allow expansive views out, which are also framed by foundation walls.
