Studio Spring 2011 One Week Assignment: Duckpond Installation Exhibit
On the Virginia Tech duck pond, design an exhibition space for a rotating collection of designer chairs. Mapping a path around and through the shallow pond allows visitors to have a playful experience among the stepping stones. Different sized stepping stones usher visitors to areas of interest as the stones cumulate on the island to form the skin for the main exhibition enclosure.
