Riva San Vitale Studio Fall 2011 Faculty/Student Housing
Design a housing unit for 26 students and 2 faculty at the Villa Maderni in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland. The natural slope of the site is maintained to minimize the obstruction of views out to the Alps from the sensitive site. Roof terraces provide more space on the small site for outdoor activities. Separation between student and faculty areas is provided by two separate rows of units.
