Studio Fall 2009 TreeHaus
Develop the design for a small pavilion responding to a tree on its natural site. Similar to how a piece of art is put on a pedestal, visitors are encouraged to take a walk around the sculptural tree on a raised, swooping walkway. The trusses of the walkway are completely self-supported and tied to a concrete footing. Tension cables link individual trusses to create the composition of the whole.
